Film Poster Analysis (4.3.2.1)

This film poster is in relation to the target audience because of the costumes that are being worn by the characters and this is show because this is the type of clothing in which 15 - 24 year old urban females are usually dressed in so if gives them the meaning that the film would have a sense of meaning and relation towards them.
The way this also relates to the other target audience is because the man is wearing a typical men tracksuit jacket which is what typical urban men would be wearing so also relating towards them.
Another way in which it is relating towards the target audience is because of the use of using past films in which was a success and if they liked those past films it would make them want too see this film because it is in relation to the previous films
The way in which they target there audience is because of the use of implementing "4 Girls" which tells them the who plot of the film is going to be around 4 girls so the film would be targeting towards them as a female audience making it an eye catching film poster towards young urban girls
Also what was done to get there target audience was the setting and this is because of the background setting which was London and this area is a very urban area so the logic behind this is that as they are looking for young urban people the best way would be to set and show the poster in London background because this would want to get them to see the film because they would believe that it would be in relation towards them as it is based and set in there area.
Who Is Our Audience ?
Within Lesson in Our Group what we had done was create a Mind Map with all the different ideas of our Target Audience. Within this Mind Map we showed with Imagery and Writing what out Audience Spend their money on, what they eat, what they drink and how the get around and etc. We had basically analysed and Brainstormed all the Main factors and Lifestyle of Our Target Audience.
Teaser Trailer and Normal Trailer
A teaser trailer and normal trailer are two different types
of trailers with both the intention get the same point across. A teaser trailer
is often the trailer which contains less detail and information about the film;
this is so that it shows the best part of the movie in order to get the
audience intrigued into the film. A teaser trailer is often released months
before the full film is released. A normal trailer is a longer version which
shows small clips of the best parts of the film which therefore gets the
audience interested in the film.
Analysis - Movie Website
For a film website I decided to analyse The Amazing Spider
Man Website. I believe that this good Film Website. The reason for this is that
when you first enter the Website on the side hand part of the page it has the
characters and their names. This is good because for example if someone new
wanted to get to know about the film the first thing they are going to see is the
characters which is already giving them knowledge towards the film without
happening to need to even click on anything yet. There is also a clear and eye
catching picture of the main character which is spider man in the middle of the
page which elaborates to the audience who the main character is.
What is also good about the film website is the navigation
bar which gives the audience all the parts of the website that they would need
to explore which is also a much more less time consuming way and more efficient
way of exploring the page
One the great parts to the website is that there is a part
in which it explains the story. This is great because for people that know
nothing about the film what so ever this would be the best way for them to
learn about the film and therefore find out if the film is appealing towards
them or not
One of the problems with this movie website is that in terms
of context on the first page is that it is very minimal so this makes the page
not look appealing to some and may look boring because they may not understand why
there is just one Spider man just in the middle of the page if they have never
watched the film before.

Film Consumption
I do tend to go to the cinema quite frequently and i believe
this is because when a new film has just been released I would rather just
watch the movie on the release day and way clearer and so that I actually get
the feel of the movie rather than watching it cheaply.
A film on demand service that I have is Netflix and Amazon
Prime and this is paid for monthly and I pay for these because it is movies
quickly and on demand as well as their is a greater range of movies that on
these on demand applications.
I don’t really tend to download films and this because I am
the type of person in which when I have watched a movie once I don’t feel the
need to watch it again anytime soon so it would be pointless for me to download
the films because it wouldn't be watched again. Another reason is because it is
too time consuming as well as there is too many risks and consequences to
downloading which I am not willing to take.
The last DVD that I had owned was X-Men in 2014 and this was
not purchased this was given to me when I had purchased a Game in HMV they was
giving out free DVD’s which each purchase over £40 but the DVD has not been
opened because I am not a fan of DVD’s
Some of the last films that I had watched in the cinema was
the latest X-Men, 22 Jump Street and Fast and Furious 6 as these were the
latest films and all interested me when the film was coming out in cinemas.
The majority of films that I watch are convergence devices,
films that I watch on convergence would usually be through my PS4.
Analysis - Think Like A Man Too
I believe that films target audience is Rom Com fans. This
is the films target audience because the actual genre of the film is Rom Com
therefore the movie makers would want to make all the marketing towards the fan
base of these films and this is because this is where they would be generating their
profit from also it wouldn’t make sense for a movie which is a Rom Com to be targeting
Thriller Fans and this is because if they was to do this the thriller fans
would not be entertained with the film because it would not be their forte.
Within this trailer
the stars names are given to us and this is because it is way of getting our
attention and wanting to watch the film, for example “Kevin Hart” name came up
on trailer and this is because Kevin Hart is a big name actor so therefore when
people are watching the trailer they are going to recognise the actor which
would therefore influence their decision into watching the film, it also
attracts fan bases towards the movie because for example Kevin hart fans would
want to watch the film just because they are big fans of Kevin Hart.
In this trailer there was a big voice over and the voice
over was done by the main character of the movie which is Kevin Hart and what
he is doing is basically explaining everything that is going on within the
movie and explaining the most important parts of the film and as he is the most
important character of the film this is another way of showing the audience that
this big actor is taking part within this film.
Another big part
towards the trailer was that the shots that were used the used; there was an establishing
shot that was used which was basically promoting a stripper joint and this therefore
means that the stripper joint would need to have paid a lot of money into the
film even just to have that little shot in the movie which is an advertising
technique as well as a way of making money for the production of the film
because of the invest the companies would have had to make.
From the
mise-en-scene of the trailer we could tell that they were quite wealthy people
and this is because of various examples, one of these examples was that one of
the cast members was driving a Ferrari and this is an expensive car in which
mainly wealthy people drive therefore suggesting to the audience that he is a
wealthy character. Another way in which this was done was because they were all
playing poker in a casino and gambolling high sums of money which tells that
the people in the film could be considered as wealthy.
Yes i think that the
film does have a unique selling point and this is due to the fact that the
famous artists Kevin Hart and Meagan Good were both in the film and the effect
of this is that because once people hear names as big as them in films it would
therefore attar t the audience giving the film a unique selling point
